Dr Brian Ko is a consultant, interventional and research cardiologist at Monash HEART, Monash Medical Centre and is also appointed as a senior lecturer in Medicine at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia.
He graduated with Honours at the University of New South Wales in 2000 and completed his cardiology training at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Sydney in 2008. He undertook a combined interventional PhD fellowship at MonashHEART in Melbourne and was awarded his PhD in Medicine at Monash University in 2013. His research interests include the invasive and non-invasive methods to assess for myocardial ischemia, including the novel use of cardiac CT to assess for myocardial perfusion. He has been the recipient of esteemed research grants including from the National Heart Foundation and the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
He has published extensively including two book chapters and publications including in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology, JACC cardiovascular imaging, European Heart Journal, Radiology, European Radiology, Eurointervention, Journal of Cardiovascular CT and Medical Journal of Australia.
