Associate Professor Brendan Moore is a Specialist pain medicine physician who has worked in private practice in central Brisbane for over 10 years. As part of the SpinePlus team, Dr Moore assists patients who suffer from persistent pain, providing comprehensive, individualised care. As a pain medicine specialist physician, Dr Moore has a holistic approach to pain management assessing the role of pain related medication, physical therapies, psychological advice and interventional spinal therapies where appropriate including epidural corticosteroid injections, nerve and joint injections and radio-frequency neurotomy ablations. Dr Moore is a QLD medical graduate whose specialist medical training included three years of advanced study in Ireland. Dr Moore is the immediate past Dean to the Faculty of Pain Medicine of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists, having been on the Board for the faculty since 2005. He has had extensive input into Faculty policy development in areas of Specialist training and Training Unit Accreditation. Dr Moore has an appointment as an Associate Professor at the University of Queensland Centre for Integrated Preclinical drug development. He continues an active interest in research and education including significant contribution to initiatives in primary care medical education in the field of Pain Medicine.
