Ben Tran is a consultant medical oncologist based at The Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH). He also has appointments at Western Health, Epworth Freemasons and The Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research. He is actively involved in clinical trials and translational research, with special interests in urological cancers and drug development.
Ben graduated from The University of Melbourne and completed his Advanced Training in Medical Oncology at RMH. Following this, Ben went on to complete a research fellowship at Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto, Canada, where his research centered on urological cancers, drug
development and personalized cancer medicine.
Upon his return to Melbourne, Ben has quickly established himself as a leader in Uro-oncology. He currently holds several leadership positions within the National Uro-oncology community, including Chair of the Uro-oncology Tumour Group within Cancer Trials Australia, and Deputy Chair of the ANZUP Germ Cell Tumour Subcommittee. He is regularly invited to speak at National scientific meetings, and serves on multiple National, Regional (Asia-Pacific) and Global Advisory Boards.
