Belinda graduated with Honours from Melbourne University in 1993. She went on to complete fellowships in General Practice and Emergency Medicine and works as a GP, Emergency Physician and Mum to three children in addition to various volunteer roles. Along the way, she has worked in a variety of rural, regional and city settings including time as a Retrieval Physician and as Senior Clinical Lecturer at Deakin University in Geelong and was involved in the development of the Deakin post graduate medical course from 2007.

Belinda is currently involved in teaching and training and has been an examiner for the College of General Practitioners and an Instructor in Simulation in Health Care using Crisis Resource Management principles. She has published in this area in addition to being a contributing author to the Oxford Specialist Handbook of Retrieval Medicine. A strong interest in ongoing education has resulted in a Diploma in Children’s Health, a Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, a Certificate from Family Planning Victoria and a Graduate Certificate in Emergency Health (aeromedical retrieval).

Belinda loves all aspects of medicine and enjoys caring for children, older people and everyone in between. Her goal is to maximise health and well-being for all.
