Dr Bahman completed his Doctorate of Medicine in 2004. He is a dedicated GP who enjoys all aspects of general practice and upon extra training in skin cancer medicine and an invaluable work experience in North Queensland, he is also a highly regarded skin cancer doctor.
After finishing medical school in 2004 he gained few years of experience in general and emergency medicine in Iran before relocating to Australia in 2010. He joined St Kilda Road Medical Centre in 2019 and has been a co-director of the practice since May 2022, when the clinic changed again to its original name and returned to private ownership and management by the doctors of the clinic.
Dr Bahman has always had difficulty choosing one field of medicine as a specialty since he graduated from medical school, as he describes himself as someone who loves every aspect of medicine! He ultimately chose general practice and obtained his Fellowship from the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2014.
During his six years of work in Townsville / QLD, where he had to deal with numerous skin cancer patients, Dr Bahman developed a strong interest in skin cancer management. He pursued further training in this field, including Dermoscopy, Skin Cancer Medicine and Surgery with a Diploma degree, and has been a highly experienced hands-on skin cancer doctor since 2011.
Dr Bahman is the founder of the Skin Cancer Clinic at St Kilda Road Medical Centre, where digital dermoscopy imaging (photos from suspicious moles) and the revolutionary AI technology for further analysis is employed. He does full body skin checks as well as spot checks and offers surgical and non-surgical management for skin cancers or significant sun damaged skins based on the assessment.
