Doctor Zimmermann graduated from Adelaide University ranked 4th on the Dean's Order of Merit list in 1995. He completed Specialist Medical Training in Internal Medicine at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Lyell McEwin Hospital, Repatriation General Hospital and Flinders Medical Centre in Adelaide. He has specialist skills in Diabetes and Endocrinology assessment and management; and Cardiovascular Risk assessment and management.
Doctor Zimmermann holds a senior staff appointment at the Lyell McEwin Hospital, Elizabeth Vale, Adelaide where he is works in the role of Medical Head of Diabetes and Endocrine Services, North Adelaide Local Health Network. He is a Senior Clinical Lecturer in the Department of Medicine at the University of Adelaide. He is an enthusiastic mentor for undergraduate and postgraduate medical trainees.
