Annette is a registered clinical psychologist who has completed a doctoral degree. She has been trained in assessing, diagnosing and treating a wide range of psychological disorders, with particular experience and expertise helping people with anxiety, depression, alcohol/substance use problems, relationship issues, trauma, grief and loss, and life adjustment/transition issues. She works with adults of all ages and offers both short term and longer term therapy.
Annette aims to help people achieve their goals and to reduce or better manage distressing thoughts and feelings. She draws on various approaches depending on her client’s needs. These approaches include cognitive behavioural therapy, motivational interviewing, acceptance and commitment therapy, interpersonal therapy, schema therapy, and solution-focused therapy. Annette also uses psychodynamic psychotherapy to work with clients who have longstanding symptoms, and/or who wish to deepen their understanding of themselves.
