Before her medical training, Anita was a cytologist (examined human cells for any indication of abnormality) for ten years. She decided she wanted to be a doctor and commenced medical studies at the ANU Medical School. After completing her medical training, she worked for two years in anatomical pathology. Anita's special interests within general practice are care of children, sexual health and women's health, including antenatal care.
