Dr Angela McLean (Public Health Medicine Specialist)

Dr Angela McLean has a Fellowship in Public Health Medicine, and Masters Degrees in Reproductive Medicine (UNSW) and Public Health Medicine (University of Adelaide). She is a Clinical Lecturer at the University of Adelaide’s School of Public Health and has served as the medical member of the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare Ethics Committee, and on various Public Health committees and the Editorial Committee of the AMA (SA).

Angela graduated from medicine at Adelaide University in 1985 and subsequently obtained a Diploma in Obstetrics and the Family Planning Certificate before working as a general practitioner with a focus on women’s health.

Dr McLean then moved into the field of breast cancer screening, working at BreastScreen SA, and in California, before embarking upon specialist training in Public Health Medicine.

This training enabled her to experience working in a range of fields including the SA Pregnancy Outcome Unit where she undertook a thesis on maternal epilepsy and fetal outcome. She has worked at Repromed since 2008 and thrives on helping people achieve a healthy pregnancy and bringing a much wanted baby into their life.
