Dr Lee graduated from Melbourne University in 1981 and completed her residency at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. In this time she developed an interest in women’s mental health, treating women with eating disorders and pre and post-natal depression.
During 22 years working in the United States, where she specialised in women’s health, Dr Angela Lee was head of the Consultation Liaison Service at California’s Pacific Medical Centre in San Francisco where she provided psychiatric consultation to medical and surgical patients. In her private practise she specialised in women’s mental health issues.
Returning to Australia in 2008, Dr Lee worked at Frankston Hospital before coming to Beleura Hospital in 2011. She is also on staff at the Bays and Peninsula Private Hospitals where she consults with women who are admitted for medical and surgical problems, in addition to pre- and post-natal conditions.
In establishing Affinity Women’s Health Dr Lee has realised a life-long goal of working with like-minded female healthcare professionals to provide a service tailored to needs of women of all ages.
