I graduated from University of Tasmania in 1983. My work history includes; Resident Medical Officer RHH 1984-5, locum hospital work in UK 1986, Senior House Officer Frenchay Hospital, Bristol, UK 1987, Medical Officer, Dept Emergency Medicine, St George Hospital, Sydney 1988, General Practice, Hurstville, NSW 1989-99, General Practice, Hobart, Tasmania 1999 - present. My special interests within medicine include acupuncture, musculoskeletal medicine and aged care. Other interests include bushwalking, indoor cricket, cooking, astronomy and physics. I am married to Noni, a neonatal intensive care nurse at the RHH. I have two sons - Callum completing a PhD in science at Monash and Oliver a Farm Management Degree in Geelong
