Dr Andrew Haig qualified as a doctor in 1989 from the University of London before moving to Australia to train in Emergency Medicine. He has been a Fellow of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine since 2001 and holds dual Fellowship with the Royal College of Emergency Medicine in the UK as well as completing Post-Fellowship training in Ultrasound and Echocardiography being awarded the Diploma in Diagnostic Ultrasound in 2006.
Dr Haig has worked in tertiary metropolitan teaching hospitals in Queensland and NSW before working more regionally over the last couple of years. It was during this time spent in regional settings that Dr Haig developed an interest in Primary Care Medicine and take up a role in General Practice. His specific areas of interest include Diagnostic Ultrasound & Echocardiography, Paediatrics and Cardiology.
