Dr Patel has had an interesting general practice career that has led her back to the Central Coast. She has raised a young family in East Bateau Bay, and practised for 9 years at Killarney Vale. She has spent 10 years in Alice Springs and 3 years in Qatar including working in Aboriginal women’s health and for the RFDS, Medical Education, Research and Board Directorships.
“I have particular interests including teaching communication skills, ethics and professionalism; women’s health; cancer and palliative care. Working with patients, families and teams, inter professionally as well as cross culturally mean I have a down to earth, respectful and empathetic style.”
Outside of work she has a passion for travel, food and gardening and family.
