Dr Alice Downie is a comprehensive General Practitioner, who has special interests in Women’s Health, Ophthalmology, Skin Cancers, Minor Procedures, Paediatrics and Sexual Health. Dr Downie has worked at the Launceston General Hospital, Alfred Hospital and Royal Women’s Hospital Victoria. She started her General Practice training in Melbourne working in St Kilda and Altona North. Part way through she did a Winston Churchill Fellowship looking at Eye Banking across the United Kingdom and United States of America.
Alice loves procedural work and has completed a diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. She enjoys caring for pregnant ladies and looking after them and their families. She has a good understanding of the needs of mothers and babies. Continuity of care and getting to know families is why Alice went into general practice.
