Sandy has worked in the Newcastle area since 1984 after graduating from the University of Sydney and completing his Urological training in Sydney. Sandy has developed a special interest in Urological Oncology performing surgery for patients with complicated prostate, bladder, kidney and testicular cancers as well as routine general urological surgery. He has been an active member of the Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand, having been secretary of the society, conference convenor in 2004 and chairman of the NSW section in 2006. He is currently director of Urology at the RNC/JHH. Sandy has presented at international meetings and had publications in ANZ Journal of Surgery and British Journal of Urology. He has participated in several research projects whilst in Newcastle.
