Mr Alan Tien is a WA trained General Surgeon, completing his general surgical training in 2011. He subsequently underwent fellowship training in breast and endocrine surgery at Royal Perth Hospital (RPH) for 2 years before moving to Melbourne, Germany and Japan for further endocrine surgery training.
Mr Tien’s areas of interest are:
• Benign and malignant conditions of the thyroids, parathyroid, adrenal glands and spleen. • General surgical conditions including hernia surgery, gallstone surgery, laparoscopic surgery and acute general surgery.
Mr Tien is able to offer timely appointments from his room at St John of God Mt Lawley Hospital.
He operates privately at SJG Mt Lawley and Subiaco Hospitals and holds public hospital appointments at RPH, Bentley and Narrogin Hospitals (visiting Narrogin once a month to both consult and operate).
Uninsured patients can be wait-listed at Royal Perth Hospital, Bentley and Narrogin Hospitals.
