Dr Aaron Ting obtained a Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery with Honours in 2007 through the University of Tasmania. He then worked as a Junior Medical Officer in tertiary teaching hospitals including Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane, Alfred and Austin Hospitals in Melbourne, and Westmead Hospital where he also undertook basic physician training.
In 2017, Dr Ting completed advanced training courses in Sleep and Respiration through Westmead Hospital. He also had the privilege of working alongside experienced physicians and researchers at John Hunter and Bankstown Hospitals and presenting his research projects at national conferences.
Through his training, Dr Ting has developed sound skills in the practice of diagnostic and therapeutic bronchoscopy as well as pleural procedures. He has extensive experience with sleep scoring, sleep study reporting, and skills management of sleep disorders.
Dr Ting currently works as a part-time Respiratory and Sleep Fellow at Westmead Hospital whilst also practising at three private Respiratory and Sleep clinics in Bankstown, Liverpool and Burwood. He is a member of The Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand, the European Respiratory Society, Lung Foundation Australia, and the World Association for Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology.
