Dr Aaron Tan completed his medical degree at Flinders University of South Australia in 1997 and has been a consultant neurologist since 2008. He completed his basic physician and advanced training in Neurology at Royal Adelaide (RAH) and The Queen Elizabeth Hospitals (TQEH), followed by a Stroke Fellowship under Professor Chris Bladin in Melbourne in 2008. In addition to working at Hampstead Health, Dr Tan is a senior neurologist at both the RAH and TQEH, where he is also part of the inaugural rural stroke service for Country Health SA. Dr Tan has participated in numerous trials in stroke and dementia; presented at national and international meetings and has a number of publications. He continues to help train FRACP candidates, previously being a professional development and educational supervisor. As a clinical lecturer, Dr Tan continues to provide teaching to University of Adelaide medical students. His subspecialty interests include stroke, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, epilepsy, memory and carpal tunnel syndrome. Bulk billed nerve conductions are performed at TQEH.
