CALMS is an accredited medical deputising service owned and operated by Canberra's General Practitioners. CALMS has been providing after hours medical services to residents of Canberra since 1971, and is a not for profit company. Any person who is living or visiting in the Canberra region can use the service.
CALMS can provide a consultation by a doctor at one of three surgeries during designated clinic times, or attendance by a doctor at your ACT residence if deemed clinically appropriate.
All consultations are by appointment only and fees apply for all services. There is a reduced fee for pensioners and health care card holders.
The CALMS call centre operates from 6:00pm to 8:30am weekdays and 24 hours on weekends and public holidays. During the Christmas New Year period CALMS has clinics at all locations open everyday. For more information please contact 1300 4 C A L M S (1300 422 567).
