Dr Mark Lawrence graduated in medicine, with honours, in 1976. He then became a specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist in 1984. He soon developed a keen interest in Infertility and was invited by Prof. Carl Wood to join the Monash IVF team in 1988.
Dr Lawrence is active in all aspects of Infertility management with a major focus on IVF. Mark has had a number of consultant appointments at leading public hospitals in Melbourne. He is currently head of a Gynaecology unit at Southern Health and is a lecturer at Monash University in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Mark is the director of Bayside Women's Health with his clinic catering to the reproductive needs of women and couples.
In addition to Infertility and IVF, Mark is also very active in general Gynaecology, advanced hysteroscopic and laparoscopic surgery, as well as Obstetrics. He has personally delivered in excess of 6500 babies, many of whom are a direct result of his Infertility management. He finds this an extremely satisfying aspect of his practice.
