Craig is a Colorectal Surgeon practicing at the Sydney Adventist Hospital in Sydney and the Epworth Hospital in Melbourne. He has extensive experience managing Colorectal Cancer, in particular using a minimally invasive approach with both laparoscopic and robotic surgery. He is an Associate Professor at the University of Melbourne, completing his General Surgical Fellowship in New Zealand, with post-fellowship training at the Cleveland Clinic, Ohio, and St Vincent’s Hospital in Melbourne. He is a Fellow of the Colorectal Surgical Society of Australia and NZ and International Fellow of the American Society of Colon & Rectal Surgeons. He holds a Masters degree in surgery and has published over 100 peer-reviewed manuscripts. His active research interests include robotics, AI and peritoneal cancer.
Craig was at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in Melbourne for over 10 years. He was instrumental in the development of both their program for advanced pelvic cancer, including performing robotic exenteration procedures, and Peritoneal Cancer program, performing cytoreduction, HIPEC and PIPAC for advanced peritoneal malignancy.
