Assoc Prof Alan Soward (Cardiologist)
Graduated from Monash University in 1976, and trained in Internal Medicine and Cardiology at Queen Victoria Medical Centre and The Alfred Hospital in Melbourne.
Attained Fellowship of The Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 1984 and spent two years as a Cardiac Fellow at The Thoraxcenter, Rotterdam in the Netherlands principally working in the cardiac catheterisation laboratory. He returned to Australia in 1986, and commenced the practice which is now known as Mildura Cardiology.
His main interests are clinical cardiology, post and undergraduate teaching and participation in cardiac research projects.
He has been awarded Fellowships of The Cardiac Society of Australasia and New Zealand and The European Society of Cardiology. He was made an Associate Professor of the Monash University School of Rural Health Mildura in 2013.
He has current appointments at Mildura Base and Private Hospitals.
