Professor Ian Meredith has had 20 years experience as a consultant and interventional cardiologist. He has extensive experience in the assessment, management and care of patients with chest pain, coronary artery disease and heart attack. His expertise covers a full range of percutaneous, invasive and interventional techniques including coronary stenting, intravascular imaging, structural heart disease management including ASD, PFO closures, PTSMA and mitral valve therapies. International recognition for Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVI).
Ian has been a lead investigator in numerous international multicentre research trials, and has extensive representation on professional and government committees and advisory boards. He is currently the Professor and Director of MonashHeart at Monash Health as well as the Head, Monash Cardiovascular Research Centre – a position he has held for over 10 years.
Ian is also a founding member of Melbourne HeartCare, the large multipartner private cardiology practice in Male Street, Brighton. Melbourne HeartCare has served the Bayside area for the past 15 years bringing State-of-the-Art, patient focussed clinical care to our community.
