Hello, I'm Lisa Abraham - Clinical Psychologist
As your psychologist, I work collaboratively with you to help you pursue a more fulfilling life. That means understanding your needs and therapy preferences and involving you in all decisions about your personalised treatment plan.
My compassionate approach means you can trust me to listen without judgement and use evidence-based therapy to help you develop your self-awareness and confidence. The therapies I draw on are strength-based so they emphasise your resilience and resourcefulness in the face of adversity.
I have significant experience supporting people living with chronic health conditions such as diabetes, pain, obesity and kidney disease. I am also skilled in the treatment of adults and adolescents with a wide range of mental health concerns including: Anxiety Grief Depression Stress Health Anxiety Emotion regulation Self-harm Adjustment Chronic pain Trauma
I rely on a range of evidence-based therapies to support my clients, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and family systems therapy. Because my approach is collaborative, I always seek your input to ensure your therapy plan suits your treatment goals, strengths and lifestyle.
I am Medicare registered, and provide therapy sessions face-to-face in Kogarah, or via Telehealth (Zoom or phone).
In addition to my role as a Clinical Psychologist at Clinical Therapy, I also work in a public hospital in a diabetes outpatient service.
