Bill is a highly regarded fertility specialist and gynaecologist. As Clinical Director of TasIVF and the only CREI qualified fertility specialist in Tasmania, he is committed to giving all Tasmanians access to the latest fertility and gynaecological treatment options.
As the leading fertility specialist at TasIVF for many years, Bill has specialist skills across all aspects of male and female infertility, and gynaecology. He takes a hands-on role with every aspect of patient care, from consulting and scans, to egg pick-ups and embryo transfers. In the process he gets to know his patients extremely well and sees himself as a partner in their journey at an important period in their lives.
Bill completed his Bachelor of Medical Science, Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Tasmania in 1985 and in 1995 he received his fellowship to the Royal Australian College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists (FRANCOG). He was one of the first Australian specialists to obtain a Certificate of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (CREI) qualification in 1996 and received several prizes during his academic studies.
He has also been widely published in medical journals on cases involving the use of ICSI and on laparoscopic surgery.
