Dr Stewart graduated from Medicine with Honours from the University of Newcastle and obtained her Masters of Public Health from the University of NSW. After training at Royal North Shore Hospital she was awarded her Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and completed Advanced Training in Cardiology. Dr Stewart undertook a Fellowship in Echocardiography at St Vincents Hospital during which time she developed her expertise in echocardiography, stress echocardiography and cardiac failure.
She has presented at many national and international meetings and is widely published in a range of research topics. She has a particular interest in preventative cardiology, pre-operative assessment, palpitations and arrhythmias.
