Dr Ron James specialises in general paediatric medicine and neonatology and has a long association with Mater Health Services since graduating from The University of Queensland.
Dr James began working at Mater in 1982 as a first year resident and was invited to become a paediatric registrar in 1983. He completed his training at the Princess Margaret Hospital for Children in Perth as senior paediatric registrar and in 1989 qualified as a Fellow of The Royal Australian College of Physicians (paediatrics).
Returning to Brisbane in 1990 he established a private practice and was appointed by Mater as a VMO in general paediatrics and until earlier this year, paediatric intensive care.
Dr James consults privately at both Mater Medical Centre and Sunnybank Private Medical Centre. He is currently lecturer in paediatrics with The University of Queensland.
