Rob holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Western Australia and is currently finishing a Masters in Sports Medicine at the University of Queensland. In addition to performing all aspects of general practice for all ages, Rob has a special interest in, and practices sports and musculoskeletal medicine. He also provides a number of aesthetic procedures.

Rob has a particular interest in regenerative medicine, which exploits the body’s own healing and regenerative capacity, using it to treat musculoskeletal problems (such as osteoarthritis and tendon degeneration). He also uses regenerative medicine to improve skin and facial aesthetics in cosmetic medicine.

Rob has been providing regenerative therapy for some time and has recently returned from the USA where he was hearing about the latest evidence and learning the latest techniques from the doctors and medical scientists that have been at the cutting edge of the field for the last 20 to 30 years as it has evolved.

To augment his knowledge of musculoskeletal medicine, Rob spends about 20% of his time assisting in operations with a number of the local orthopaedic surgeons. It is not unusual for many of Rob’s patients needing orthopaedic surgery to see him in the operating theatre on the day of surgery. This is an insight into patient’s issues that it not often available to a GP.
