Dr Mobbs is an Australian trained neurosurgeon with an interest in minimally invasive and complex spine surgery. He completed his medical degree in 1993 at the University of New South Wales, Sydney. He gained his Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons, in Neurosurgery (specialist training) in 2003.
Dr Mobbs has been awarded for his research efforts in multiple presentations, publications, scientific meetings and book chapters. Dr Mobbs worked overseas in Vancouver, Canada – completing further subspecialty training in spine tumours, spinal trauma, and minimally invasive exposures this has lead him to develop new systems, approaches and techniques commonly used in today's practice.
Dr Mobbs has diverse research interests with numerous publications, presentations at scientific meetings and book chapters. He completed a Master of Surgery in 2002, gaining the award for his thesis on minimally invasive exposures.
