Dr. Jayaram graduated from Bangalore Medical College Bangalore India and has worked in the major teaching hospitals of Bangalore. He has also worked as senior medical officer of paediatrics in Father Mullers Hospital Maganlore. Dr. Jayaram worked as a full time GP in Mackay from May 20002 until June 2016. He obtained his RACGP fellowship in 2003 and has been a RACGP examiner for over 10 years.
