Prior to working in general practice, Dr. Farage trained as a general physician in England and earned her MRCP in 2001 when she became a Member of the Royal College of Physicians, London. This equipped her with extensive experience in the management of acute and chronic medical conditions.

Her passion for holistic care led her to join general practice and she attained Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners, UK (MRCGP) in 2003. She worked as a GP in Norwich, England until she moved to Rockhampton in 2007. Upon moving to Australia, Dr. Farage became a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP).

Dr. Farage has enjoyed serving the CQ community as a GP since 2007, and continues to do so as a GP at CQ Medicentre Northside. Dr. Farage has a passion for caring for families and extensive experience and qualifications, which allow her to offer contemporary management of all aspects of general practice. She has special interests in managing chronic medical conditions, skin problems and women’s health. Dr. Farage has developed extensive experience and training in women’s health and she holds a Diploma of Faculty of Reproductive and Sexual Health (DFSRH).

In addition to enjoying clinical aspects of her field, Dr. Farage fulfils a wide academic interest through her work with the University of Queensland, Rural Clinical School of Medicine. She is a senior lecturer and a Lead of the General Practice Discipline at the Medical School. She also is also a training supervisor for the GP trainees.
