Dr Nadya Chami studied medicine at the University of Newcastle, graduating in 1999. It was during her years of study that she recognised her interest in women’s health and in moving to Sydney, Dr Chami obtained her specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology [O&G] working primarily at The Royal Hospital for Women. During her training she gained further experience in the UK working in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Now with nearly 15 years of experience in both Australia and overseas, Dr Chami is available here at Specialist Clinics of Australia and has admitting rights in the Royal Hospital for Women and Prince of Wales Private Hospital. She is also a conjoint lecturer with the University of New South Wales and the University of Notre Dame teaching future doctors.

Having recently had a daughter after IVF and a tricky pregnancy, Nadya knows well the worries that women face in this area of their lives. She is passionate about caring for women in a warm and approachable manner and is highly respected in her field. Nadya believes that Obstetrics and Gynaecology is an important and sensitive area in Medicine, which requires dedication and compassion. Women are often putting their needs last after the needs of their families and workplace, so it is her aim to put women and their concerns first. With her dedication, knowledge and compassion in this area of medicine, Dr Chami’s career and current positions are a testimony to her high level of expertise and standing within the Gynaecological profession.
