Dr Javed Sheriff is a general cardiologist who graduated from Bond University and completed his cardiology specialist training at Concord Hospital. He completed his PhD evaluating the role of Angiotensin II in the central control of sympathetic outflow from the University of Sydney, and his research was supported by an Australian Postgraduate Award Scholarship.

Dr Sheriff is a staff specialist at Canterbury Hospital and honorary staff specialist at Concord Hospital. He is a Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Medicine, and teaches medical students and junior doctors at the University of Sydney. He is currently undertaking a fellowship in clinical Cardiac Magnetic Resonance at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and has Level A accreditation for reporting CT coronary angiograms.

His interests include cardiac assessment using non-invasive imaging modalities, management of heart failure, coronary artery disease, congenital and valvular heart disease and general cardiovascular risk assessment. Dr Sheriff can speak conversational Urdu and Hindi.
