Dr Michael Costello is an experienced fertility specialist and renowned expert on Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS). His research and published papers put him at the leading edge of the latest research, which he is able to apply to his clinical and surgical practice.
His special interests include all aspects of assisted reproduction including ovulation induction, intra-uterine insemination, IVF, Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), recurrent miscarriage and preservation of fertility for medical or social reasons.
After completing his specialty training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and obtaining his Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG), Dr Costello undertook further sub-speciality training in infertility and reproductive endocrinology (CREI) at the Royal Hospital for Women in Sydney and overseas at the Jessop University Hospital in Sheffield, England.
He was subsequently awarded a Masters in Reproductive Medicine by the University of Sydney.
Dr Costello is a foundation member of the PCOS Australian Alliance (PCOSAA) Strategic Advisory Group and also currently a Senior Lecturer in Obstetrics and Gynaecology with the University of NSW, as well as a Clinical Academic with the Department of Reproductive Medicine at the Royal Hospital for Women.
