Dr Jonathan Dick specializes in foot and ankle surgery, hip and knee, including arthroscopy and arthroplasty ( joint replacement ).
Dr Dick grew up on the Sunshine Coast. He studied medicine in Dublin, at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, one of the oldest medical schools in Europe. He returned to train in the Queensland advanced training program of the Australian Orthopaedic Association. He obtained his Fellowship in Orthopaedic Surgery from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2009, and returned to work at Nambour General Hospital to serve the community he grew up with, surrounded by family and relatives.
Dr Dick is a dedicated clinician with a down-to-earth attitude and no nonsense approach. In his years at Nambour General Hospital, he has developed an affinity for foot and ankle disorders. He has refined his skills by attending numerous courses and seminars, and has become the go-to local surgeon for lower limb problems.
Dr Dick is a training supervisor to the advanced trainees of the Australian Orthopaedic Association, as well as a lecturer and teacher to the medical students from the University of Queensland. He is also a member of Sports Medicine Australia.
Dr Dick started his medical practice in early 2013 at Nambour Selangor Private Hospital, while continuing his commitments at Nambour General Hospital. He offers his services to private patients on the Sunshine Coast who are seeking advice for lower limb problems, including foot and ankle disorders.
