Dr May has over 20 years experience as a GP in rural and remote Australia and has worked in every state and territory (bar SA)! She has wide ranging general practice interests including women's health, mental health and evidence based medicine. Dr May also works for the University Department of Rural Health in Tamworth and is involved in education for students and GPs. She is an examiner for the Royal Australian College of GPs. She has research interests in the way general practices work in rural areas and is currently the Chair of the National Rural Health Alliance which advocates to government about rural health issues.
