Dr. James Ayres was born in Oxford, UK and is a graduate of St. Barts and The Royal London Hospital in East London. He qualified in 2003 with a degree in medicine and an intercalated Bachelor of Science in Experimental Pathology, which we’re reliably told is the fun side of pathology.
After completing his initial medical training at Homerton Hospital in Hackney and The Royal London Hospital, he then went on to undertake rotations in Accident and Emergency and Pre-hospital medicine before further training in general medicine, obstetrics and gynaecology and endocrinology.
In 2008 Dr. Ayres completed his specialist membership exams to The Royal College of General Practitioners and began working in Cambridge.
In 2009 he took a risk and moved to Canberra. After spending 10 years building his practice at Tuggeranong Square Medical Practice he has now taken another leap of faith to set-up Lakeview Medical Practice.
