Dr Spry has lived in Queensland, Tasmania, South Australia and the Northern Territory. She happily settled in Port Macquarie in 2015 and never wants to move again. She loves Port Macquarie's coastline and relaxed lifestyle. She loves the outdoors and adventures with her husband and two young children.
Dr Spry enjoys the variety and complexity of primary care. She is particularly focussed on providing continuity of care, motivating her patients to take charge of their health and make healthy lifestyle choices.
In 2000, she gained a Bachelor of Science from the University of Queensland. She worked in disability support and Commonwealth health departments, before completing the Flinders University postgraduate Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (2008) and gaining Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practice (2013).
Jacinta has experience in Aboriginal health, rural health, and has special skills in women's health (cert.SH&FP and IUD insertions), mental health (Level 2 FPS) and skin cancer (cert. Primary Care Skin Cancer Medicine). She has also worked in medical education and research at James Cook University, completed a post-graduate certificate in health professional education (2014), and supported GP registrar training in far north Queensland.
