Dr. Moonen undertook her medical training in Northern Ireland and graduated from Queens’s University Belfast in 1998. After a few years of training in Belfast in emergency and critical care, she moved to Fremantle in 2003. Dr Moonen then spent 4 years working at Fremantle Hospital specialising in Emergency Medicine before moving to Shenton Park Rehabilitation Hospital where she coordinated the rehabilitation of head and spinal cord injured patients. Dr. Moonen enjoys working with children and young adults and has an interest in womens health. Dr Moonen has a young family and enjoys spending weekends with them at the beach or by the river. Keeping fit is also important and she tries to make it to a spin/RPM classes 2-3 times per week. Knitting is a favourite pastime, and her family back in Ireland are lucky to get woolly jumpers and beanies regularly posted home to them! Dr Moonen consults all day on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, and Tuesday mornings.
