Dr Henderson is an Interventional Cardiologist who graduated from the University of Sydney with First Class Honours in Medicine in 1999. After completing Advanced Training in Cardiology at Gosford and Royal North Shore Hospitals, he was awarded the prestigious Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at St Vincent’s Hospital, one of the leading Cardiac centres in Australia. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and a Member of the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand. Dr Henderson has performed thousands of coronary angiograms and coronary artery stenting procedures. He is the only cardiologist in the Coffs Harbour area who performs both angiograms and coronary stents - saving patients from having two procedures
He has published widely in the field of Interventional Cardiology and presented at Cardiology conferences. His particular areas of interest and expertise are the diagnosis and management of chest pain, myocardial infarction, coronary angiography and the insertion of cardiac stents.
Dr Henderson established the CT coronary angiography service in Coffs Harbour in conjunction with Coffs Harbour Radiology, and is the only cardiologist in Coffs Harbour accredited to perform these examinations.
