Dr Anh obtained her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery with Honours from the University of Melbourne in 2001. She completed her internship and basic surgical training at St Vincent’s Hospital in Melbourne. Dr Anh then obtained a postgraduate diploma in surgical anatomy at the University of Melbourne, whilst teaching anatomy to medical, dental and physiotherapy students.She commenced her advanced surgical training in general surgery at The Alfred Hospital in Melbourne, before she moved to Perth to commence specialist training in plastic and reconstructive surgery. She obtained her fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in plastic and reconstructive surgery in 2010.
