Dr Vinay Kulkarni is a Sydney based Orthopaedic Surgeon. He specialises in the treatment of adult and paediatric spinal disorders including deformity, tumour and trauma. He also is well versed in the management of general orthopaedic disorders and trauma.
He obtained his medical degree from the University of New South Wales and completed post graduate training in Orthopaedic Surgery with the Australian Orthopaedic Association and the Royal Australian College of Surgeons in 2017.
He then undertook further fellowship training in Spinal Surgery in both Australia and Canada. His paediatric spine fellowship was undertaken at Sydney Children's Hospital (Randwick and Westmead Campuses) as well as The Hospital For Sick Children in Toronto. His adult fellowship training was in Canada at Toronto Western Hospital and Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre as well as at Westmead Adults Hospital.
Dr Kulkarni has current public appointments with the Sydney Children's Hospital Network (Westmead campus), St George and Sutherland Hospital's. He also has private appointments at Westmead, St George and North Shore Private Hospitals. He consults in Westmead and Kogarah. Most importantly he believes in patient centred care with a strong emphasis on utilising adjunctive treatment in addition to or instead of surgical management where practical.
