Dr Ruth Alegarbes graduated from Davao Medical School Foundation, Philippines in 1989, following which she worked and trained in family medicine at San Pedro Hospital. She continued on to set up her own clinic in Davao City where she worked until she moved to Australia in 2006. She has been practicing as a GP at the Gold Coast since. Ruth has a special interest in emergency medicine, paediatrics, women's health, antenatal care and minor surgery. At home Ruth keeps busy with four children.
