Dr Darry Gregor is a specialist cataract surgeon. He also performs refractive lens exchange procedures using custom intraocular lenses. Dr Darryl J. Gregor OAM, MBBS, FRANZCO* is the founder of the Cataract Care Clinic, and one of Queensland's leading eye surgeons.
Dr Gregor has always been at the forefront of technology, pioneering techniques from America and Europe in the local community, and establishing the Gold Coast as a leader in ophthalmic procedures.
Since becoming a surgeon, Dr Gregor ran a successful private practice in Southport and started the first Gold Coast Day Theatre, Brockway House, which changed the way patients were treated in South East Queensland. He established The Eye Centre & The Laservision Centre at Short St Southport. Following this, Dr Gregor was involved in forming Vision Group, and successfully transformed local eye practices into an Australian public company which floated in 2004. In 2021 Dr Gregor is consulting at the Eye Specialist Institute at Varisty Lakes.
Dr Gregor and the team is focussing on bespoke cataract care. This specialist offering restores clear vision in patients with cataracts, and gives them the opportunity to significantly reduce the need for glasses permanently.
