Dr Arul Sundaraj is a Brisbane-based general surgeon who had his medical under-graduate, and preliminary surgical training in India. He has special interest in hernia and gall-bladder surgery, laparoscopic surgery, haemorrhoids, skin cancer surgery, and he also performs all general surgical procedures - both acute and chronic.
Arul received his Membership degree (MRCS) from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, and then underwent basic surgical training at Westmead Hospital in Sydney from 2006-2010. He underwent advanced surgical training at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, Brisbane, and performed clinical rotations and multiple public hospitals in Brisbane, including Logan, Mater and QE-2 Hospitals. In 2017 Dr Sundaraj received his FRACS from the College of Surgeons.
He has special interest in hernia and gall-bladder surgery, laparoscopic surgery, haemorrhoids, skin cancer surgery, and he also performs all general surgical procedures - both acute and chronic. He is GESA accredited for Colonoscopy. Dr Sundaraj has affiliations with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, General Surgeons of Australia, Gastro-Enterological Society of Australia, Gastro-Enterological Society of Australia and the European Hernia society.
