Dr Angela Lee is a Specialist Endocrinologist. She was born and raised in Sydney. She graduated from Medical School BSc(Med) MBBS with 1st Class Honours at the University of New South Wales, and also completed further postgraduate study with a Master of Medicine (Clinical Epidemiology) at the University of Sydney. Angela undertook Endocrinology Advanced Training at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital. She is currently completing a PhD at the University of Sydney. Her clinical research studies are focused on improving the health of people with diabetes. Angela's research is supported by a National Health and Medical Research Council postgraduate scholarship and Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Australia Top-Up. Angela's sub-specialty expertise is in diabetes clinical care, including with the use of continuous glucose monitoring and insulin pumps.
Angela is an Endocrinology Staff Specialist at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney, Australia where she treats people with Type 1 diabetes, Type 2 diabetes, Gestational diabetes, and High-risk diabetic foot disease. As a Clinical Lecturer at the University of Sydney, she teaches medical students in the Sydney Medical School program. She speaks at National and International conferences including for the; Australian Diabetes Society, Endocrine Society of Australia, American Diabetes Association, and European Association for the Study of Diabetes. Angela regularly teaches medical students, junior doctors, general practitioners, specialist colleagues, and allied health staff.
Angela enjoys helping patients to improve their health, through lifestyle and medication therapies, using up-to-date evidence-based medicine. She tailors treatment to suit the individual and makes it a priority to explain medical diagnoses and treatment options in a way that can be readily understood.
