Dr Nicolas Oddone MBBS, MS, MD, FRACS is a highly skilled and passionate medical professional practicing in Australia. Dr Oddone earned his MD at Universidad de la Republica in Montevideo, Uruguay and his MBBS at Ministerio de Educación y Cultura in Madrid, Spain and his Doctor in Medicine at Universidad de la República in Montevideo, Uruguay. After finishing his general surgery studies at Universidad de la República, Dr, Nicolas Oddone narrowed down his training to focus on his specialization and subspecialties. He completed two years of Upper GI training at the Maciel University Hospital in Uruguay and subsequently in Adelaide at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
Dr Oddone completed his postgraduate fellowship training in Head and Neck surgery and Surgical Oncology at the Crown Princess Mary Cancer Centre at Westmead Hospital. He was admitted to the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2009 and is currently a member of the college's surgical oncology and endocrine surgeons sections. Dr Oddone went on to earn his Master of Surgery in Endocrine Surgery in 2015.
Over the course of his career Dr Nicolas Oddone has gained membership within numerous prestigious organizations, including but not limited to the Obesity Society of Australia and New Zealand (OSSANZ) and the Endocrine Surgery Section of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. He has also written publications related to his medical specialties, and has taught in a professor roles for numerous courses.
Additionally, Dr Nicolas Oddone maintains his own knowledge of his field by regularly taking professional development courses, attending conferences related to his interests, and doing his own personal research.
